Assignment 25: Abstract

This year I interned at The Hamilton Law Firm under the mentorship of Frank Hamilton, co-founder of the firm. My research was centered around the question: " How does emotional intelligence affect lawyers?" Through researching credible on-line sources and learning firsthand from all my mentors at the firm, I found the answer to my question. Emotional intelligence does have negative side effects as it can cloud a lawyers judgment if they let their emotions control them. But the positive effects far outweigh the negative ones. Emotions motivate lawyers and keep them passionate about representing their clients and upholding the law.
